What is the Leadership Academy?
The Mothers Out Front Leadership Academy is an annual opportunity for moms who want to make a difference in the world. It honors and supports our most committed and talented members and leaders, while making space for new moms to join our movement. Our goal is to help you grow as a leader and give you the tools and confidence to take on bigger roles in our climate movement.
The program is open for applications and all selected applicants will receive $200 stipend per month for 10 months for your participation.
You’ll receive high-quality advocacy and communication training in one of these three tracks:
- Organizing to Amplify Mom Power: Learn how to mobilize moms into powerful collective action.
- SpokesMom Training: Learn how to tell your story and our story through various media platforms, such as writing op-eds, giving media interviews, and sharing public narratives.
- How to be a Climate Champion Training: Learn how to run for public office, especially if you’re a BIPOC or frontline leader who wants to bring your voice and vision to the table.
The program is online, flexible, and fun!
The deadline to apply is January 31, 2024!
You’ll be led by Stephanie Bowman, our Senior Manager of Learning & Member Success and other awesome trainers and communication professionals. You’ll also get to connect with other fellows who share your passion and vision.
The program is open to 8-12 fellows each year, selected through an application process. The only requirements are to attend a monthly 90-minute workshop and complete a minimum of 30 minutes of homework monthly, for a total of 2 hours per month. That’s it!
