Kia Smith

I’m excited to tap into this universal desire in order to build power, mobilize spokespeople, and tell stories that impact climate policy and shift the public narrative on climate justice.“
Over the past 20 years, Kia has worked in a variety of digital, communications and public relations positions. Prior to joining the Mothers Out Front team she worked with, Faith in Public Life, Caring Across Generations, Spelman College and a number of faith-based and media organizations.
Kia earned a B.A. in English from Spelman College and graduated from Kennesaw State University with an M.A. in Professional Writing. She is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary. When she’s not reading, writing, working and studying, she enjoys live music, good food and spending time with her kid, Cameron.
