Eva has worked in the environmental movement for over two decades, as an organizer, campaigner & strategist at the local, national and international levels. Most recently, Eva served as the Managing Director of the Sierra Club – the oldest & largest grassroots environmental organization in the US – where she worked for nearly 15 years across the country to build people power to protect communities and the planet. Eva managed and implemented organizational transformation at Sierra Club, running change management processes to modernize the 130 year old institution to create more rigorous, equitable & impactful systems, structure, culture & results.
Currently, Eva works with The Management Center – helping social justice leaders across the US build and run equitable, sustainable, and results driven organizations.
Eva is passionate about the power of fundraising & innovative philanthropic collaborations as she recently served on the BEA grants awards committee allocating millions of dollars to grassroots groups through a participatory awards process. She believes in the power of people and communities, the power of mentorship, and the power of strong management as a central strategy for culture change as she strives to put her core values of justice and integrity into practice every day.
To recharge, Eva reconnects with nature & community in the Texas Hill Country or in a swimming hole near Austin, TX, with her kids where she’s based.
