Jenny Zimmer
Senior Director of Campaigns & Organizing
Jenny Zimmer is an experienced organizer, campaigner, and program manager based in Greensboro, NC. She got her start organizing as a college student fighting coal corporations’ influence in St. Louis, and was trained at the GreenCorps field school for organizing where she fought coal and gas projects in North Texas. At 350.org and 350 Action, she helped grow and train an energized national climate community, from channeling the boiling energy of the youth fossil fuel divestment movement, to fighting fossil fuel infrastructure, to putting political candidates in the hot seat on their climate policy. In 2020, she turned her energy to the crisis of democracy, and co-founded the pop-up anti-coup project, Choose Democracy. She spent the past 3 years as Organizing Director with RepresentUs, working across party lines to pass meaningful democracy reforms at the local and state level. Jenny is the mother of two awesome and hilarious little kids — Omie and Townes. She spends her non-organizing hours making pottery, cooking, and enjoying the beauty of North Carolina.
