All-Ages Volunteers Plant First Brookline Mini-Forest
MASSACHUSETTS > BROOKLINE CHAPTER > TREES
On Sunday, October 15, volunteers organized by the Department of Public Works and Brookline Mothers Out Front planted Brookline’s first mini-forest in the Brookline Avenue Playground. Pioneered by Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, these small but mighty plots can provide a surprising array of climate and other eco-benefits.
