This month, our spotlight will be on the successful fight in Springfield, led by community and climate activists in the Springfield Climate Justice Coalition (SCJC), to stop the planned biomass plant in a Springfield environmental justice neighborhood. Our two speakers will be Verne McArthur and Rich Calhoun from SCJC. They will address the strategy used to win this victory and the on-going work to eliminate government support for biomass plants.
