Acton, MA: Net Zero Energy Geothermal School Tour
Fantastic opportunity to tour a “proof of concept” net zero energy geothermal all-electric school that was built on time, on budget, and at roughly the same cost over time as a fossil fuel building.
Tour will be led by Kate Crosby, Energy Manager for the Acton Boxborough Regional School District and will include a powerpoint presentation on the budgeting, energy stats and architectural decisions.
Is your town building or contemplating a new school? We are encouraging regional climate leaders to join this tour and to invite their local and state elected officials as well.
PARKING: 21 Elm St Acton is the address for parking. Then follow signs across the covered boardwalk to the new school. The main playground will be directly in front of you and enter door #5 just beyond the playground. Limit of 25 participants.
