Rep Khan’s bill, H.4477, the Building for the Future Act, would require all new buildings to be all-electric statewide. This is the boldest bill we have seen to transition Massachusetts to a clean energy economy. Our homes and schools and workplaces must all be retrofitted eventually, but new buildings and major renovations must be all-electric from the start.
We need a lot of people to raise their voices for this bold idea. This is the one chance we have while it is considered by the Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy Committee. Written testimony is due on Friday, March 18 at 5:00pm.
