MA: Healthy Soils and Climate-Smart Farming
Come celebrate United Nations World Soil Day by learning about soil health as a climate change solution. We’ll hear from a soil scientist, a soil policy expert, and two Massachusetts climate-smart farmers. Learn how you can be a climate advocate through your food & farm choices as well as through collective action.

Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) is a leader in the state for promoting soil carbon sequestration and climate-smart farming practices. Their help was instrumental in passing and funding the MA Healthy Soil Action Plan – a comprehensive survey of the types of soils in the state and how each can be managed to sequester carbon and build soil health.
