MA: Climate Action Call
Date: May 23, 2023
Time: 12:00 - 12:45 PM, ET
Location: Zoom, Massachusetts
Every five years, the Farm Bill is reauthorized, providing a critical opportunity to change how our food is grown. The US food system is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and soil degradation. It has long perpetuated food inequality and injustice. With a transformation of the Farm Bill, we can promote climate resilience on our farms and justice in our food system.
We will ask legislators to prioritize two additions to the Farm Bill: the Agricultural Resilience Act and the Justice for Black Farmer’s Act. Passage of these Acts are important steps toward food system change. Be part of the transformation!
